Good day Mamalettes, please I would like you people to help me on this issue. An agent brought a little girl of 15 years to me on Friday. He told me the girl was brought from the village (Ogoja) by her uncle in January. He just said I should take good care of the girl and that the girl can stay with me as long as I want. He said I will pay him 18k for agent fee which I told him that it will be end of the month but he didn't agree and said it has to be this week. Now, the issue is that my husband is not comfortable with the girl staying with us without knowing her parents. The girl gave my husband her diary and he called the girl's uncle to verify but he wasn't satisfied with the uncle's response. He suspected child trafficking. He then decided to call the girl's mother but the woman was not talking like the mother. He then decided to call the brother and he denied knowing the girl.He asked the girl how she got the numbers and she said her uncle wrote them for her and the girl cannot read nor write. Already i have taken the girl to the hospital for HIV, Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis and PT and they are all negative. The girl seems to be nice and hard working but cannot speak any language except Ogoja and little English but she understands English little . The has told me that she wants to stay with me and that my house is third place she's coming to since January and she doesn't know why they took her away from those places. Now , my husband is insisting that the agent should come and take the girl back. But the girl is helpless as she does not know the next place they will take her to and has been crying she wants to stay. The Agent has been disturbing me for his money since Monday. I have even taken to a government school to register her but she said her uncle said she will not start school now. I have a toddler and pregnant, i go to work as well. Please what should i do?
