My neighbour is a mother of three boys all her children are younger than 10. Now that the children are home on holidays our ears have not rested. During the day she seems to shout at them all day. Now the strange thing is that I never hear the voices of her children, just her. Their father goes out very early and comes home late so it is just her looking after them. I saw her downstairs yesterday and told her that other neighbours have been complaining about the way she shouts on them. Her reply was that she doesn't care what people think because they are her children and she will discipline them how ever she wants. I feel bad for those children, in addition to the shouting I will hear her say, no, shut up, go to your room etc. I have not heard her beating them but I think that her behaviour is child abuse. Or is it normal for mothers to shout at their children. Now before you say I am a busy body my issue here is that my children can hear when she is shouting and are always looking scared. I have stopped living the windows shut so we can no longer here the noise. It is obvious that she is clearly not coping with her kids. I have told my hubby to complain to her husband next when we see him. Is this advisable?
