Mamas please help me. My 5 months old has always been a crying baby ever since the day he was born. I honestly never thought having a baby could be this hard. I was prepared for the first few weeks being difficult with the frequent feeding and lack of sleep but from day one I knew something wasn't right with this child as he will just cry and keep crying uncontrollably. The doctor told me he has colic and that when he was 3 months he will grow out of it. But now at 5 months the crying has not stopped. In fact he will cry before he eats, after he eats and cry until he falls asleep out of exhaustion. I have tried all types of things, tried feeding him more, even stopped exclusive, I sing for him, the only think that he enjoys is when you back him, he will sleep very easily. I also started using a dummy for him and it works so when he starts crying I put the dummy in his mouth. My mother says I shouldnt use a dummy and makes me feel like I'm failing at being a mum. My hubby does not help matter as he stays even later at work, to avoid the stress of the crying baby. Some days Iend up crying myself. Apart from my mum who helps me once in awhile I dont have any other friends or family who can help me. I feel so jealous of other mothers who have peaceful and content babies and can enjoy their time with them and enjoy being a mum. I wanted to enjoy this and get a sense of satisfaction out of being a mum but I am hating it and am not happy at all. Nowadays I even find myself regretting having a baby but I feel so guilty and ashamed for feeling this way. I just want things to get a little bit easier. Has any mother also gone through this? How did you cope?
