I am a 20 year old girl who is waiting to enter university. I got carried away one afternoon at my boyfriends house and ended up doing it without protection. When I realized I was pregnant, I told my guy but he suggested I abort it. I confessed to my mother who had already started noticing my body was changing. My mother said I shouldnt abort because she knew too many women who aborted in their youth and were struggling to become mothers. So I decided to have the baby. One site online gave me ideas about adoption. I want my baby to have the type of life that I cannot provide. I have not even gained admission yet. I don't want him to see me struggle or to have to go through that struggle. I want him to have two parents who can provide everything that he needs and more. My mother is trying to talk me out of adoption but but I don't want him raised by family members because I think it would make my life worse. So i want to know how does one give a baby up for adoption in Nigeria. Is there somewhere I can go? I live in Lagos. I simply want the best for my son and am trying to get as much information as possible.
