I work full time and my wife stays at home with our children, 1 year old twin boys. She is the one who does the shopping for food and everything in the house as I have a busy job. Of late we have been fighting a lot because of her overspending. I have given her a monthly budget that includes her "allowance", food, toiletries and baby things as well as anything else we need. Understanding the increases in things in the country, I increased our monthly budget from N50,000 to N70,000 a month. We live in Festac, Lagos. But she is still telling me we are still under budget. My observation is that she does not know how to budget and so she keeps buying things we don't need. I am really worried about our future. As Christmas is coming her shopping list is so expensive right now.I blame her and I do believe it's her fault. How can I make her realise that we need to save and not spend so much?
