Did I do wrong?

Mamalettes, please help me o, My husband and I went out yesterday to his colleagues's place for their son's 1 year old birthday party. My husband never wanted to go but the children were insisting on going to the birthday party so I insisted he took us so he decided to take us to his colleague's place. Before we left the house, he told me we weren't going to take long at the party because he didn't want to stay out late and I promised not to keep him out for long but on getting to the party, they were yet to serve the food, in fact, they barely started cooking the party meat. My husband said he couldn't wait that we should head home after about 15 mins that we got there. I was hoping he was joking but he wasn't o, my husband got up and asked me to meet him in the car that it was time to leave. My journey down there couldn't be in vain, I thought to myself, plus the children were very hungry at that time, so i got and went to the people in charge of the party to inform them I was going o and that I had not eaten. They begged me to wait but I told them I couldn't but that I wouldn't mind my food being packed to go even if the meat was still raw. They packed the cooked rice for me and packed the boiled meat for me to go. When My husband saw this, he was furious and he called me a thief asking me to return the food items, I got angry and told him No and that I wasn't ready to cook any meal again either. That was all i said o that he rose his hand up, about to strike me before he reconsidered. Please I don't know if I did anything wrong o because since then he has refused to eat my food.
