Good day house, please I need advice. This is a really sad situation, but my little brother met and fell in love with a girl from Sokoto while we live in Lagos. They decided for whatever reason to get married in Sokoto. I really want to go, but there is no way for me to go without putting most of it on my bank account and I am already low on cash. I am also saving to rent a house and some major purchases for my son. To top it all, my grandmother just passed away and have to fly out of town to attend the funeral. My brother is planning on having a big reception that would be done here in Lagos after a day after the Sokoto wedding and I am also contributing for him to make the event as big as he wants it. Would I be a terrible sister if I sat out the wedding and just went to the reception? The idea breaks my heart, but it would really set me back financially and not to mention, Sokoto is not a safe area because of Boko people. Having a really hard time with the decision. Thanks!
