US Toddler Crashes Jeep, Then Runs Home To Watch Cartoons

A 3-year-old crashed a Jeep into a home in Myrtle Creek, Oregon July 22, 2014.

This story is hilarious, but reminds me of my own toddler who loves to 'drive' his daddy's car.

But according to news reports, a toddler is accused of crashing a Jeep into somebody's house. Reports say the 3-year-old then ran back to his home to watch cartoons.

Police say the 3-year-old boy who was wearing only a diaper climbed into the Jeep Tuesday evening and knocked it out of gear. Witnesses say the car rolled down the street, through an intersection and into the house, causing minor damage.

A witness called 911 after seeing the child rolling by in the Jeep before hitting the house. Sensing he was in trouble, the toddler jumped out of the car and dashed home.

Once the boy was followed to his house, an officer found him on a couch watching TV as if nothing had happened.

He said his parents weren't home and another relative was sleeping. Police then cited a 22-year-old Brennan Pennington for failing to supervise a child.

"We want to encourage parents to remember that children are very crafty in finding ways to get in trouble and for parents to be very vigilant," Police Officer Kevin Taggart said.

Thank God the child did not harm himself!
