Baby Found Alive After Mother Buried Him For Three Days In A Shallow Grave

In a day and age whereby you can give your child up for adoption if you can’t handle the responsibility. A baby was buried alive by his mother for three days because she was worried about what her parents would think.

In South Africa, a 25 year old mother, had left her infant among some timber covered with sand, at her workplace after she had given birth last Tuesday.

The baby who has been named the "Easter Miracle Baby" was rescued from a shallow grave when a staff at a timber factory where his mother works heard him crying. She later told police she left him because she was afraid her parents would disapprove of her having a second child.

According to the South Coast Herald, a police spokesman Captain Mfeka said, “They searched and found him hidden underneath some timbers, covered in sand. On hearing the commotion, the mother confessed that the child was hers. Her explanation was that she was afraid of her parents. 

Both baby and mother were taken to the hospital where they were admitted.

“He is now in a stable condition but still receiving treatment,” said Ms Morai a spokesman for the hospital.

The case was postponed for further investigation after his mother was charged with child abandonment.

You would wonder why a mother would carry her child for 9 months  just to bury him alive.

If it was a child she could get away with it on the basis that she is ignorant but not a 25 year old woman that is already a mother. As shocking as it is things like this also happen in our country leading to the death of a lot of babies.
