7 Facts About Children You All Need To Know

Children are beautiful, innocent and young creatures but there are times it seems we can't figure out how best to handle them, like I almost laughed out my heart the day my daughter angrily called me "funky face" with a pout thinking it's an abusive word and that's because I use it on her when I'm angry, now, imagine if what I usually say is worse, she would have memorised it and used it in public.

You need to know your children so you can be better able to understand them and parent them, below are facts you need to know about children;

1. Children are inquisitive

Children are curious cats, they would ask questions, poke nose and peep into everything happening around them so always answer their questions and ensure you satisfy their curiosity. If you lie or fail to tell them everything, they'll find out from other sources and will stop trusting you to tell them the truth, for them, call a spade a spade.

2. They get hurt often

Children get hurt frequently, they fall down, hit their head against the wall and get bruises and black wounds so don't be surprised if your child is always getting hurt physically. Just harm yourself with first-aid kits and what you'll apply to the wound so the spot doesn't become permanently black.

3.  Your child might not be a fan of cartoons

Most children love cartoons but if your child is one of the few that aren't excited about cartoons, that doesn't make him or her weird. It's normal 'cause all children aren't the same.

4. Children learn to use gadgets very early

Each time my four year old collects phones from someone, he already knows where to find games and automatically knows how to play it, this used to amaze me but kids of these days are like that. Nowadays children will perform all the functions you were knew existed on your phone and laptop.

5. Middle kids are more matured and responsible

Research has shown that middle children are matured, responsible and well-behaved and that's probably because they've had to listen to their elder and protect their younger one while growing up.

6. Children learn better while still very young

The early stage of children is when their brain absorb knowledge and learns quickly, this early stage is when they develop their personality and character so expose them to a good environment and give them a good foundation in learning.

7. Children learn from media

Kids these days have access to media such as youtube as early as age 4, when they log on to these sites they have the tendency to learn things that's not appropriate for their age online. Limit the screen time of your kids (TV, smart phones, computer) and censor what they watch.

I hope these facts about kids helps you know a thing or two about them.
