5 Questions Doctors Wish Men Will Ask More

Most men because they've grown up to believe they have to be tough and strong find it hard to visit the doctor and on the few occasions when they do because they really feel they need to or their wife forced them to, they'll fail to ask the questions that really matters.

Some men are uncomfortable about being asked personal questions by the doctor and body examination so they'd rather visit the pharmacy near them than see a doctor when they're not feeling good.

1. What can I do to improve my health?

Men between ages 30 and 40 need to ask this question as most of the medical issues men in their 50's and 60's encounter is mostly as a result of the lifestyle they adopted when they were younger (in their 20's and 30's) that weren't very healthy for them. So when a man visits his doctor he ought to ask this question so he can start adopting a lifestyle that'll make him live longer and healthier. Most of the things that causes problems for men (especially sexual dysfunction) are obesity, not eating healthy, smoking, not exercising that later leads to sickness.

2. What's the definition of a normal sexual function

Many men just have sex and enjoy it, they have no idea of how long is normal for a man to have sex before he ejaculates or how long and how often is normal to have sex, they just go through the routine. Men with premature ejaculation problems or sperm issues also find it hard to open up to the doctor for they feel it affects their masculinity how sexually virile or incompetent they are. Yet any man ought to be comfortable to discuss sexual issues with his doctor.

3. What is normal in terms of alcohol and drug use?

A lot of men on ADHD medicines have erectile dysfunction in their 20s and 30s, also excessive drinking can certainly lead to not only hormonal but sexual dysfunction. But, how many men know this? Although men who have a beer or two or a glass or two of wine are not really going to have sexual dysfunction as a result of it.

4. Am I too stressed out?

Male mental health is one of the pillars of men's health. Men have a different way of dealing with problems which is to keep it in mind and not talk to another soul about it which is quite stressful. By asking their doctor about their stress level they'd be able to screen for mental health issues, discuss stress and management and the environment that can increase stress for such a man.

5. Am I getting enough sleep?

Lack of sleep is a major problem for men as men that are sleep deprived have worse problems in all of those categories.
