I saw the news about the mother who staged the kidnapping of her son just to teach her son to not be nice to strangers thereby traumatizing the boy in the process, it's not her fault, that's how she knows to be a mother. In the same vein some of us might be making mistakes in parenting yet we'll see it as normal.
There's no bad mom, there's only one that doesn't know how to parent. There are mothers who curse at their children out of annoyance, mothers who yell instead of talking to their children, mothers who puts their material needs first before their kid's, I don't blame them, they are parenting the way they know best.
Below are the qualities of a mother who can be called a mother indeed. A good mother;
1. Gives her kids quality time
A mother indeed makes time for her kids and make every moment she spends with them count, don't be surprised that mothers who are stay at home moms may still not have time for their kids. Whether you are a working mom that's always busy or a full time mom, spend time with your children so you can know talk to them, know what's going on with them and find a solution. How will a mother know her child is being sexually abused or bullied in school if she doesn't sit her down and talk to her?
2. Makes herself approachable
By this I mean mothers are their child's best friend, I can't call my mom the best mom but I can say she's my friend.
