Despite watching what you eat and doing everything people are suggesting, if you have still not lost the extra weight here’s the reason behind it;
When you are doing all you can to lose the weight and it seems it will permanently be your best friend what are the thoughts that go through your head? Many women look at their fat belly and hate their body instead of thanking and loving their body for the great task it has accomplished.
Yet stress causes weight gain because a high level of stress can hamper the normal functioning of our neuroendocrine system, causing the body to over stimulate the production of certain hormones like cortisol that can lead to weight gain. It increase the need to crave junk foods and lowers your fat burning metabolism.
In a study, researchers questioned women about stress they had encountered the previous day. The ladies were then fed a meal containing a very generous 930 calories and 60 grams of fat. After eating, scientists measured the womens’ metabolic rates and took blood samples.
In the seven hours after eating the mondo meal, those who had reported being stressed out within the previous 24 hours burned less of the fat they consumed, and had higher levels of insulin, a hormone that contributes to fat storage. They also added 104 calories.
Meanwhile, little things like hating your body, having negative thoughts can stress you up then your body will start pumping out hormones to deal with stress, among those hormones that’ll be pumped out is the hormone cortisol that can lead to weight increase.
So instead of worrying about how your body looks, focus on the positive, look at the child your body produced and be happy at it’s achievement, brighten your face with a smile and take your mind off your not-so-perfect body.
