During Christmas period in my office, we did love feast where you pick a partner and you buy them gifts. This year they made it a secret, so you pick your partner and you don't tell anybody who your partner is, it's a secret no one is supposed to know. The rule was that the gift must be 5000 Naira and above nothing more. I went all about to my partner a gift because she was a girl, I got her a shoe, spray and a lovely tank top. Everything I got her cost me 6,000 Naira. On the day they were revealing gifts, I realized that it was my direct boss that picked me as his partner, he gave me a flask, all those stainless flask. He was even proud about it, flask that won't be up to 2000 Naira in the market. That is the most useless thing anybody has ever given me and i'm sure he didn't buy it because he just got married so he probably picked it up from one of his wedding gifts in the house. He didn't make an attempt because he knew I was his partner and since I was his subordinate I won't complain. I collected the gift but I have planned to give him the gift back as his birthday gift. he's birthday is next month and I'm sure he would be expecting a gift so this would be a good gift especially because his new wife is now pregnant and she would be needing the flask more. I want to know if what I have decided to do is right or should I just let it go, but I need to let him know how hurt I am. My gift was the worst of all. Please how should I handle this?
