Question Please am I doing wrong by avoiding her?
Anonymous asked 4 days ago

My mother in law complains to hubby that I don't like calling or associating with her. Truly speaking, I don't like her because of the things she did when we got married. First, after our wedding, she insisted that we should sleep in the sitting room even though there is a vacant room in the house including the one hobby shares with brothers. He controls him and he accepts everything she said. We slept in the sitting room that night and my husband did nothing. We stayed up to a week before going back to hubbys base, throughout our stay she was nice to me.We left our wedding gifts in her room including the kitchen utensils my mum bought for me with the hope hubby will come fetch them later. To my surprise, when I visited them later, the gifts have been shared among the siblings. The most annoying was the kitchen utensils. Mother in law ordered me to wash the big plastic my mum gave me Cuz she want to use it in her new house. Out of respect, I didn't confront her but reported to hubby. He told me to forget about those things that I should leave it for them. I had no choice than to obey. Thirdly, after giving birth, hubby and I came with baby MIL ordered us again to sleep in the sitting room with a foam. Hubby refused and slept with the brothers and I and my baby with the sister.Due to all this, I hate visiting them. I hardly call her and she complains to my husband all the time. Please am I doing wrong by avoiding her?
