Let me go straight to the point, I got married 5 years ago but had a child (boy) before meeting my husband now I have 2 children for him a girl and a boy. My husband lost his job 3 days to our wedding, after about 8 months of staying at home, I asked why he’s not looking for a job, his response was extremely bad. Meanwhile all the while I was pregnant and wasn’t working nobody was there to assist, days that I’ll sleep with hunger, days that I’ll have to trek to my mum’s house to steal her food hmmm, then I told him to go out and look for job which he didn’t answer me still, then I decided to ask for his certificate, that was when I knew he didn’t go to school he just lied and his family supported that lie. I was hurt and angry, I told my mom about it, she said there’s nothing I can do so far am married to him legally.
He became very lazy, people started getting jobs for him but he’ll refuse with one excuse or the other. Did I mention I started working as soon as I gave birth to our first child together? To cut the long story short, its been 5years now and still not doing anything, I have been the one carrying the whole responsibilities, from the school fees of 3 beautiful children to feeding, clothing, house rent plus every other thing needed in our daily lives even his own clothing to his boxers.
Now my issue is, I got tired and am extremely tired of the whole situation because he’s not ready to change or do something at least to take care of his children if not me. Then I thought about it and I started making plans on travelling out with my last baby, then the first 2 can stay with my mum while I look for a better opportunity to make their future better now all my plans have fallen in place to God be the glory but I don’t want to tell him about the travel plan because I am afraid he may want to stop me from going.
Mamas and papas please advise me what to do. I can’t continue like this anymore, I don’t even have savings. I spent all my income at a go especially in this recession. Please help a worried sister.
