2 weeks ago, my husband informed me that he would travel from Lagos to Abuja to see a friend. Before he booked his flight I quicly told him that he was travelling a day before my birthday. At the time it was obvious he had forgotten my birthday was coming up and then he said he felt bad he had forgot, but he later said he needed to travel on that day so I told him to go, and not to worry. So the day of my birthday, which was yesterday my husband did not even call, neither did he send a birthday message or buy me a present. When he finally remembered and tried calling around midnight I refused to pick up his call and I have not spoken to him since then. What hurts me even more is that I had told him about the date but he still did not remember to call his own wife of just 6 years. When it is his birthday I will make a special effort to cook his favorite meal and give him presents. He is coming back tomorrow. How should I react to him when he comes home?
