Yesterday as I was a supermarket buying formula for my baby. All of a sudden I heard a woman not to far from me say to another lady “What a shame, a baby that young being fed formula”
I pretended to not hear her, knowing she is talking about me as I am the only other person in the aisle. I picked 2 tins of formula and as I walk away I hear her say loudly “Breast is best”.
While I understand breast is best and I had plans on having a fully natural birth and exclusively breastfeeding my daughter, my first born. Well, my baby was born via CS and I had infections afterward that made it difficult for me to breastfeed her. What pains me is that some women don’t understand that not every mother refuses to breastfeed their child. Some women have problems breastfeeding be it medical or they even adopted a baby. For her to say that to me was was so unfair.
