My son turned one last week saturday and even at his party a lot of family members were asking me when I will stop breastfeeding him. In fact they’ve been asking me since my son was 6 months old. Not many of my relatives breastfed their babies so I think it makes them uncomfortable in a way. Even my husband has been saying it’s time for him to give up the breasts. While I was thinking of weaning him around age one but I don’t want to push him too much if he’s not ready. Has anyone else felt pressure to stop bfing? It’s like they’re saying there’s something wrong with bfing a baby past 1 year old.
