Dr. Shakirah Saliu is a co-founder and chief medical director at Doctoora. She is a physician, blogger and M-health enthusiast. She is a passionate, dedicated and highly motivated general practitioner with a wealth of experience and expertise in caring for individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds.

She has an avid interest in public health with a focus on child and maternal health as well as mobile health technology. She is committed to pursuing a role in which she can help people maintain their health and quality of life. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

She currently works in a clinical and administrative capacity with the Lagos State Ministry of Health. Her passion for public health fuelled her involvement in a Millennium Development Goals awareness project during her National Youth Service Year. When not working, she enjoys wifeing and mothering.
