Dr. Princess Olufemi-Kayode started her career in the media in 1982, garnering over two decades of experience across broadcast, print and the Internet. As a survivor of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA), she realized the consequence of CSA and other forms of sexual abuse and violence on the Nigeria society which undoubtedly has a large number of unattended to young and old people in similar situations. In 2000, she moved to Nongovernmental activism where she lead the pioneering of national response to the sexual violence pandemic in Nigeria.
She is the founder and Executive Director of Media Concern Initiative for Women & Children (MediaCon), the non-governmental organization working with a team of dedicated and highly skilled staff contributed immensely to the advancement of sexual violence response in Nigeria. They started the first private Rape crisis response center in 2005 with 24hr Helplines and victim advocates with a holistic approach to helping victims and survivors live beyond justice meeting the psycho-social needs an as well mental health needs. In addition, MediaCon under her leadership spear headed multisectoral response and professionalism in the fight against sexual violence with excellent results.
She is a Certified Sexuality Educator & Trainer. She is a trained Forensic Interviewer & Trainer. Dr. Princess is a Neuro-Linguistic Programme Master Practitioner (NLP). She is a Family Systems Engineering Practitioner. Multiple international award winning Dr. Olufemi-Kayode is also a Criminal Justice Psychologist and Child Protection Consultant. In addition to her capacity hat, she is a NonProfit / NGO Strategist and runs a Sexuality Ministry to the church.
Dr. Princess is a seasoned international Speaker/Minister who is married to her ‘Pay Back ‘as she calls her hubby, Pst. Olufemi Kayode with children and grandchildren.
