Five Exercises Tips For Those Who Never Exercise

The average Nigerian adult is more concerned about more pressing issues like money, traffic, fuel scarcity, lack of electricity, bad roads etc. than going to the gym or going for a jog.

If you are one of the majority of Nigerian men and women who never exercise, these following five exercises tips may be useful to you.

1. Jog up and down the stairs five times.

This can be done at work or at home. Exercise doesn’t necessarily have to take an hour, rather short quick bursts of activity can be beneficial.

2. Do the plank.

This static exercise works just about the whole body, no equipment necessary! The only equipment that you need for the plank exercise is your own body and enough floor space to lie down on.

3. Start doing more housework.
Doing housework is an effective way to burn calories. So sweep, clean, wash plates, wash clothes, wash the bathroom etc. All these should guarantee that you do some form of exercise.

4. Write the alphabet with your leg.

This is a type of Pilate exercise. To do this, lie on the ground, raise your legs, and write the alphabet in the air with your feet. This dynamic exercise will strengthen your low abs in no time. Make sure to keep your abs engaged the entire time!

5. Set an alarm. 

A regular reminder to stand up or walk can be helpful. So put a reminder on your phone to regularly get up and stand for five minutes or go for a five-minute walk.
