Weddings have become a funfair or carnival to have and I’m not against any type of wedding anyone chose to have. You can decide to have a society wedding if you can afford it or you can decide to have a private ceremony in presence of family and friends, that is a personal preference and no one should be judged on the type of wedding they decided to have. While some are of the opinion less should be spent on the wedding ceremony that it is the honeymoon that it should be focused on, I think anyone should do anything that suits their pocket. This article is not about what types of weddings people have but it’s about this thing I have with souvenirs.
A souvenir is an object we are gifted at parties or events that show the host appreciation to you for attending their ceremony. You will see people fighting to get a souvenir and you will be wondering why because judging from their appearances, it’s something they can afford or that they probably have at home, maybe it has to do with the fact that it’s free. Everyone likes free stuff right? As for me, I love wedding souvenirs, especially those that has the information of the couple on it most especially the wedding date. That is all I like seeing on a wedding souvenir, that’s because so many years after the wedding and I see such
That is all I like seeing on a wedding souvenir, that’s because so many years after the wedding and I see such souvenir, it always reminds me of their wedding day, what transpired at the wedding and other things that comes to my mind is that I always wonder what the couples are up to now. Thoughts like “do they have kids now, how many kids do they have, how many years have they been together for, how many years anniversary would they be having now or are they even still together”?
I can’t help it whenever I come across any of these wedding souvenirs even when it is not at my place, anywhere I see it, the thoughts always occur to me. Is it a bad thing, I’m I the only one that has these kinds of thoughts and does it make me a bad person. I really want to know.
