This Is Why You Shouldn’t Hold Your Pee For Too Long

Every woman at one point or the other has had reasons to hold their pee. While in the middle of a meeting, while travelling a long journey and you aren’t at the stop-over yet, while shopping in the market, we all have had to hold it. The question however is, is holding your pee for too long really dangerous to your body?

Holding your pee can actually be bad for your body, but that’s only if you do it frequently and for a really long time, although the result is not really life-threatening.

What then is the effect? Infection, pain, and bladder burst!

If your bladder is constantly holding large amounts of urine it can breed bacteria. And if you have heard rumours about bladder bursting, it’s rare but it happens. But before your bladder bursts, you would have had a warning sign which will be in the form of you wetting yourself (yeah, peeing on yourself).

Usually, it only happens to people who have had previous issues with their bladder through a previous damage or conditions for instance; pelvic injuries, although it can happen even if you’ve never had any injury to your pelvic.

And the major helping hand to such situation is alcohol. Those people who drink a lot and when their body sends a signal to their brain that they need to pee, the alcohol will dampen the signal, so they’ll hold it for a while.

If they do that continuously, their bladder may burst. So while holding it may not kill you, when you have to go, listen to your body and if you’re in a place where you can pee, it.

There are times you just have to hold your pee, but do not hold your pee for too long or frequently, and if you’re travelling in a public bus, pee before entering the bus.
