I have always hated to cook. People have said to me on several occasion “just start cooking, you will learn to love it” We all don’t have to be a chef or a great cook, the world will be full of restaurants and with no one to eat there because everyone is a cook. We are not all gifted with the things of love for food apart from eating it. Since I got married, it has become more difficult for me not to cook. These are the reason why I hate to cook-
Time-Consuming- It takes a lot of time to prepare. And after wasting so much energy to make a meal, you might have lost your appetite.
It’s Boring- urrgh! like I have to stay glued to my pot of plantain to avoid it from burning, you can’t do anything else while cooking.
It’s Messy- I’m sure everyone would agree with me on this one, like cooking is peculiar to making a mess. Everything looks perfect when you’re eating at a restaurant but you need to enter their kitchen to see the chaos.
It’s Stressful- You can’t multitask while cooking,I mean you don’t even want to have kids around you to avoid them getting hurt.
It’s Hard- Adding so many things up to make up something can be very difficult at times. Any mistakes can ruin all your effort.
There Are Always Dishes- Like a small meal can require four dishes for you to clean thereafter. Even if you use paper plates, you will still have to wash your utensils and pots and what not.
Leftovers- You mean after all the stress of cooking and there are leftovers upon leftovers. People don’t go back to their leftovers most of the time, they would rather go for cakes or snacks than their foods.
