Even after giving birth a lot has still not changed for a lot of women, for some, they might have lost the baby weight but others like me begin to fight some other things like discoloration of the skin, stretch mark, cellulite and what have you. Stretch marks appear on the skin surface when someone grows quickly, or puts on weight quickly. Trust me, I have a first-hand idea of how stretch marks can make you feel uncomfortable about your appearance. Thankfully, there are natural ways to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

1. Castor Oil

Castor oil can be used in the treatment skin problems such as wrinkles, age spots, moles, dark spots, fine lines and pimples, can also be used to get rid of stretch marks. Apply castor oil to the problem area, then gently massage the stretch mark circularly for about 5 to 10 minutes. Wrap a thin, cotton cloth on the area, then apply heat to the area with a hot water bottle or a heating pad for at least a half an hour.Repeat this process every day for at least one month.

2. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is an effective remedy for treating skin problems, it has properties that’ll help in getting rid of stretch marks. Here are ways to apply it. Rub aloe vera gel directly on the affected skin area, leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse the skin with lukewarm water.

3. Egg Whites

Eggs can be used to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, but only the egg whites, which contain amino acids and proteins. Whip two egg white gently with a fork. Clean the problem area with water and then apply a thick layer of egg whites with a makeup brush. When the egg white is completely dry, rinse the area with cold water, apply some olive oil on the skin. Repeat this process every day.

4. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is acidic making it a perfect remedy to heal and reduce stretch marks, acne and other scars. So rub lemon juice gently on the stretch marks in a circular motion. Leave the lemon juice on for at least 10 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water. Or mix equal quantities of cucumber juice and lemon juice and apply the mixture on the stretch marks.

5. Sugar

You can use white sugar to exfoliate your skin, mix a tablespoon of raw sugar with some almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix it together and apply it on the stretch marks and other skin problem areas for a few minutes every day before taking your bath.

6. Potato Juice

Potato juice has nutrients that help in growth and restoration of skin cells. To use, cut a medium-sized potato into thick slices, rub one of the potato pieces gently on the stretch marks for a few minutes. Make sure the starch from the potato covers the problem areas, allow the potato juice dry up for some time then wash it off with warm water.
