I don’t know about you o but I think this woman’s labour is the shortest in history, when Maria Harris water broke at 32 weeks she was immediately rushed to the hospital. They got to the maternity ward about 10:20am and she gave birth 22 minutes later.
During her interview with The Daily Mail Maria said;
‘One minute I was having a few contractions and the next I was giving birth. The whole thing was overwhelming – I didn’t have an option to pause time.
They were trying to explain to me that he needed steroids, because he was so early, but I was telling them that I had to push.
There were lots of people in the room, but I only had gas and air, so I was in and out of the real world and then suddenly he was born.’

Baby Jack was born prematurely (about 8 weeks early) so he spent five weeks in neonatal care. But just before Christmas, he was able to come home.
Jack is two now and he’s doing pretty well.
Maria talked about how traumatic it was to have such a quick labour and says it has made her scared of having another baby:
‘He’s doing brilliantly now, but I suffered from post-natal depression because the birth was so traumatic. It puts me off having more children, because I worry that it could happen again,’
