In life we learn everyday, we make mistakes and often times we learn from it. Either ways, if you’ve been around much like I do, you’d have a lot to talk about. I’ve seem women who married for love and ended up regretting, and I’ve seen those who married for money and found love, I’ve seen her who married a poor man and when he became rich he worships her like a god, so also have I seen her who married a rich man and can’t even have his attention or love. The bottom line is, life is a mystery!
Here are some lessons life has taught me in the area of love;
- The one who cares less in a relationship has the upper hand because nothing you do or say can touch them.
- If you don’t love yourself, no one else can love you. Crush on and love yourself and you’ll feel loved, then and only then will you be loved.
- You can’t change someone unless they want to be changed.
- No matter how hot someone is, you’ll get used to their appearance quicker than you expected. Which is why you need to marry for any other reason besides appearance.
- The little things you find cute today might turn out to be the flaws tomorrow.
- The same principles marketers use to get to us like scarcity, authority, reciprocity and commitment can be used to manipulate anyone.
- It’s possible to love your spouse till eternity and still feel like sleeping with someone else.
- Love and relationship require empathy, vulnerability, and honesty for it to grow.
- Emotions change all the time. You can love some one today and tomorrow, you might find out you don’t.
- “Show me a beautiful woman, and I’ll show you a man who is already tired of sleeping with her.”
- The higher the expectation you set at the beginning, the harder it will be to maintain the relationship. And why? Because you might not be able to uphold that standard and it will cause problem in such relationship.
Now Mamalettes, I’m sure you might have one or two lessons about love, share with us! Meanwhile, don’t forget to share this post, someone might just learn from it.
