Children can be mischievous in a lot of ways. They watch what adults do and carry out the same act in silence. That’s not because what the adult did was wrong but because it will be too dangerous for them as a kid. Kids can be difficult to handle especially when they like to make mischief behind your back. Here are some of the attempts children play with as a result of what they see us do behind our back-
Electricity
I still don’t know why kids love electricity. You will see them poking at sockets extension and trying to put objects in between the socket holes. It could be their pencils, crayons or even a pen. Anything that can fit into the sockets hole is their goal, and you see them struggling wth it. Please always avoid leaving your children all by themselves with an electric socket, wire or outlet. They should not be anywhere around electricity in the first place, they don’t have any business there.
Driving
My son usually collects the car keys from me whenever I park into the garage. He will put the key into the ignition and pretend to drive it. He will do a driving gesture while he grabs the steering wheel and make a driving sound with his mouth. It will be a dangerous thing to do if you leave such a child unattended to in a motion car.
Light A Match
I once saw my son trying to strike a match. He follows me to the kitchen and I’ve struck a match repeatedly in his presence , so I’m sure that he wanted to put it to a test too. Parents should avoid placing matchbox below children’s reach to avoid an incident.
Cleaning
Be it laundry, dishes or toilets, kids tend to want to replicate what they see an adult do. You will catch them unawares trying to either help with the dishes or load the washing machine or scrubbing the toilet all of which is beyond their age range.
Grab The Knife
“Mummy, I cut it” That is the sound of my son approaching me with a knife. My mind flew, what did you cut? Keeping knives or sharp objects away from the reach of children is the safest things every parent should watch out for.
Cook
Kids know all those delicious meals come out of the kitchen, they always want to try out and do the magic too. You see them carrying pot and pans and doing like a chef. The kitchen is not a safe place for kids, parents should always try to keep them out of there. The kitchen should always be on lock whenever it not in use.
Eat Dirt
Have you ever since a child eat from a dog’s or cat’s plate or pick up left-over food from the bin? kids can be mischievous like that. They don’t see anything wrong in all of these things. It is the duty of the adult or parent to keep such unwanted things away from the reach of the kids. The pet place should not be kept around a child, it can be mistaken for a meal.
