7 Things People Will Judge You For When You're Pregnant

Pregnant? Everybody sure have a thing or two opinion on it and of course they don’t care if you don’t want to listen they’ll say it anyway.

And they mean no harm, but pregnancy is such an interesting topic, for there’s so much to say and it’s such a sweet moment so everyone wants to share in it. You may be judged for these things so be prepared.

1. What you wear

There are some clothes that are not considered appropriate for a pregnant woman, you can just imagine the kind of looks you will get if you wear tight fitting blouse, leggings or jumper. The idea is seriously! who is she being fashionable for? After all, she’s pregnant already. Forgetting that even pregnant women want to look good, although you should also make sure you wear something you are comfortable in.

2. Your choice of names

Normally, you don’t name the baby until the day of the christening, but of course you are the funky mum so you want to do some research on names, and if you did, discuss it with your oga only, you might be surprised you won’t be able to pick a name out of the 20 on your list. If you say I want to name my baby “Linda” you might get a response like “Don’t! Linda means snake and most girls called by that name turn out to be harlots” do you know? You’d be so disgusted you’ll drop it, you picked another and someone objected again. And on and on it goes, so? Ask the grandparents for the names they’ll give your baby, add theirs to the list complied by you and your oga. “Shikena”.

3. What you drink

There’s a list of things which society feel is acceptable for pregnant women to eat and drink. And if you so much as crave for those things and you are caught with it. Not only will it be snatched from your hands, but “you go hear am”.  Having a cup of coffee or taking a non-alcoholic wine will have people raising their brows at you as if to say “are you out of your mind?” They probably don’t know the difference, every wine is alcoholic. It’s probably better not to expect them to approve of everything about you.

5. How you look

“You look pale! what have you been doing to yourself? Do you even eat? You look like you’re gonna faint anytime soon!” That’s your mum nagging, of course she wants the best for you and your unborn baby and she’s worried sick that you are not taking good care of yourself, but to you, you are asking, what else am I supposed to do that I’m not doing?
