Here are a few tips on how to help you maintain your shoes for a longer period;

1. Clean them from time to time

If you leave your shoes in the shoe rack for a long period without dusting them up, you will shorten the lifespan of the shoes. Dust your shoes at least once a week to keep them in good condition.

2. Polish them

You can’t expect your shoes to keep shining when you don’t bother to polish them, polishing your shoes will help preserve their quality and appearance, and protect them from harsh environmental conditions.

3. Keep your shoes away from moisture

A damp environment will breed germs since germs love damp environment and it may cause your shoes to peel or whiten so put your shoes in a dry environment.

4. Air them

Leaving your shoes in wet or hot conditions will make them peel quickly and spoil faster than can you can imagine, so always put your shoes in places where they can breathe. From time to time, bring them out in the open space so they can get some fresh air.

To keep your shoes in shape especially the toe box, stuff them with old newspaper after airing them. And do NOT put loads on your shoes, this will not only put them out of shape but also leave scratches on them and make them moist and peel.
