Prince William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their son George Alexander Louis.
The newborn will be known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. Some UK citizens have praised the traditional name given to the prince while others have suggested that Alexander should have been the first name of the child, as it is more modern.
George is a traditional name for the royal family and there have been six King Georges in the history of the family. The Queen’s father, was also called George.
Royal infants usually have historical names which are passed down through the generations.
What do you think? Do you like his name?
