We all know it’s the festive period and we will want to get our loved ones gifts. Most times we are always stuck with what to buy but it is not only during Christmas we need to get gifts for our kids, it could be for their birthdays or to appreciate them when they performed well in school. Here are list of gifts and toys we can get for kids for all seasons;
1. Bicycle
This was my favourite toy as a child. A bicycle comes in different age ranges. There are some that has a basket behind to accommodate a little passenger behind, this kind of bicycle will be fun for a toddler with a sibling. They can always ride together and have fun. Riding a bicycle is also a form of exercise for kids, it’s a fun way to burn calories and stay fit.
When buying a bike for your child, look out for the appropriate age which is always specified on it, also, get safety gears to prevent injuries when they fall off it.
2. Scooter
To ride a scooter, it requires much space. Riding a scooter is another healthy outdoor activity for kids. It is not as good as the bicycle, but kids can start riding scooters at a younger age. It requires more physical strength unlike the bicycle. When buying a scooter, ensure you buy an age appropriate one and safety accessories is a must.
3. Educational Laptops
This is a good toy/gift to gift a child because with this gadget, a child is not only having fun but also learning at the same time. So it’s a win-win situation. Educational Laptops will help your kid acquire one of the most important skills required in today’s world. Educational Laptops are not just about computer skills they are packed with fun activities and games that will enable your children learn letters, words, math, logic, and science.
4. Handheld Gaming Console
This is a for a much older kid. Portable Gaming consoles (handheld consoles) are exciting gifts for kids. It can keep them occupied for hours. Handheld gaming consoles will require games. Like in movies, games are rated. Buy only games rated for your child. For example games rated E are for everyone and are recommended for kids. There is also E 10+ for kids ten years and above and T for teenagers.
5. Video Game Consoles
The interesting thing about the video game console is that it can have multiple players unlike the handheld gaming console which only be used by one person at a time. It is a game every part of the family can play together.
6. Learning Set
Learning sets are educational toys that teaches kids in a fun way to learn about school activities in a more exciting way. There are learning sets for counting numbers, identifying alphabets, identifying shapes and colours, arts, identifying animals, learning languages, and for building and construction. Some of it comes with DVD that can be played, and that way the child gets to learn faster when he/she sees it like fun.
